Buy Creature from the Black Lagoon Pinball Machine. Creature from the Black Lagoon is a pinball machine designed by John Trudeau (“Dr. Flash”) and released by Midway (under the Bally brand name). It is loosely based on the movie of the same name. The game’s theme is 1950’s drive-in theater. The pinball game was licensed from Universal Studios by Bally so that all backglass and cabinet artwork and creature depictions would resemble those of the original movie.
The centerpiece of the table’s playfield is a holographic depiction of the titular Creature, illuminated and in motion during multiball play within its “Black Lagoon habitat” (the space beneath the playfield visible through a customized window). The green hologram was produced by Polaroid and is affixed to a metal plate that is divided into three sections which are designed so that the hologram appears to float. gently bending the hologram’s surface, so that the Creature appears to “ripple” as if underwater and to swipe at the player with its claw. Until 2018 the Creature from the Black Lagoon was available as a licensed table of The Pinball Arcade for several platforms.[2] Due to licensing issues however only three of the five songs have been kept intact for this version. In addition to the three songs, two Easter Eggs which refer to Mortal Kombat are disabled since the game’s Family Mode is permanently activated in the Pinball Arcade incarnation. This table is also included in Williams Pinball Classics (2001) for PC.[3]
This pinball machine comes with a 1 year parts warranty. All parts that are faulty will be replaced. Often we can solve any problems over the phone and supply any necessary components for the customer to fit. If necessary our specialist repairer can visit your home to inspect and repair your machine on-site, but this would be chargeable. Please call us for a call-out quotation. If parts are required which are not carried at the time these will need to be ordered for you.
After our 1 year warranty has expired we will continue to offer you complete support for any problems you have, either over the phone or by email,therefore we can provide a chargeable engineer call out should it be required. Whatever happens, we will be able to look after you and your pinball machine.
Availability:
Our pinball machines are available from stock and usually take 2 to 4 weeks to be reconditioned and to be taken through our 26-point check. Sometimes this can be turned around in a quicker time frame; at other times it can take a little longer, especially if any parts are needed. You should then allow 7 to 10 working days for your pinball machine to be delivered, depending upon location and customer availability.
Please note that our classic pinballs tend to sell very quickly, so please call us before visiting the showroom to check we still have this particular model available.
